The agentic system of work for enterprise accounting teams

Maxima is building the AI-native platform that automates the full month-end close — journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, financial close — with audit-ready accuracy. Their agents pull data from every source, apply company-specific logic, and prepare outputs so accountants review finished work rather than build it from scratch.

The result: accounting teams at Zendesk, Rippling, and Scale AI are closing two to three days faster with over 98% automation. For a function that hasn't seen real innovation in two decades, this is the new operating model. Their newly launched Max — a 24/7 agentic accounting agent — was featured in CFO Dive as the next frontier for enterprise finance teams.

Operators who've lived the close — from both sides

Maxima was founded by operators with 25+ years of combined experience across top technology companies, investment banking, and audit. They saw the same pattern at scale and built the solution.

Chief of Staff to the VP of Product & Post-Sales

This is a high-ownership generalist role — a direct extension of the VP of Product and Post-Sales, enabling her to operate at 10x capacity. There is no playbook. The complexity of the work will grow significantly as Maxima scales its enterprise sales motion.

You'll own the full range of work the VP doesn't have time for, across recruiting, operations, communications, and strategy. CEO and board visibility on day one.

  • Recruiting coordination: Own end-to-end — take first-round candidate calls, manage the interview pipeline, and build a repeatable hiring process across teams
  • Post-sales processes: Build and improve QBR frameworks, upsell tracking, G2 review programs, and customer success documentation
  • Executive calendar: Manage and protect a complex calendar, proactively resolve conflicts and prioritize time
  • KPI dashboards: Drive visibility into sales, product, and bugs by building and maintaining internal tracking systems
  • Board decks & comms: Prepare board decks, all-hands presentations, product status updates, and other high-stakes internal communications
  • Outbound prospecting: Support LinkedIn content experiments and test what drives pipeline

What makes this seat compelling

Direct partnership with a senior operator Rare leverage to influence 10x operational scaling of an enterprise sales motion — not a supporting role, a multiplier role.
Zero engineering attrition since founding A major health signal. You'll build recruiting and ops processes for a company that genuinely retains its top talent.
CEO and board-level visibility Board deck prep, all-hands, product status updates. These are career-accelerating wins, often invisible in larger roles but directly attributable here.
Series A inflection means your work compounds $41M raised, 55 people, heavy GTM investment. Build processes that scale through Series B.
Break into startups from a position of trust You're not joining to learn — you're joining to enable someone scaling a real business. That's a different kind of credibility.
